Physiotherapy

Ian Lillington

Ian Has over 30 years experience under his belt since qualifying in 1986. His interest in physiotherapy resulted from his sporting days where he managed to wangle invitations to play rugby  in exotic locations around the world including Hong Kong, Amsterdam, the Bahamas and Hull, whilst spending the summer months on the track running against the likes of Seb Coe and Steve Cram (although losing by some margin!)

Workwise, he started his career in the NHS at St Thomas' Hospital, London, before spending some time working in Sydney, Australia. On returning to the UK he opened a private clinic in the City and subsequently in Harley Street. Over the years he worked with various athletic and rugby clubs in London before settling in Kent.

Ian has been a guest speaker at a number of national conferences speaking about his research into neck trauma and whiplash and has also been a guest lecturer on the post grad MSc Physiotherapy course at University College London

His interests outside watching sport, include music, having played guitar in a variety of different bands and genres over the years, and sailing,
